Policies and Guidelines

The MIS provides schools with access to the latest Information and Communication Technologies to assist schools achieve the best educational outcomes for all students.

However, the resources are not infinite, nor are they free. It must also be remembered that despite all available attempts to ensure that inappropriate material is blocked from the service, no software programme, with or without human intervention, can achieve 100% success in this area.

School administrators have a responsibility to ensure that appropriate policies and guidelines are developed for their school situation and made available for all users of the MIS. Such policies and guidelines provide a reference point to assist in the management of the Internet service.
