Early School Leavers Longitudinal Study

A sample of young people who left Queensland schools in Years 10, 11 or early in Year 12 during 2010 and participated in the 2011 Early School Leavers survey are being annually tracked as part of the Early School Leavers Longitudinal study to provide a deeper understanding of the longer term outcomes of early school leavers.

The Early School Leavers Longitudinal study builds upon the 'point-in-time' information collected by the annual Early School Leavers survey.

The Early School Leavers Longitudinal study also includes a small group of young people who left school in 2010 but had returned to school prior to the completion of the 2011 Early School Leavers survey.

Reports investigating the pathways taken by these young people in the years since initially participating in the Early School Leavers survey are available for each of the waves of the longitudinal study. Statewide main destination data are also available for download in Excel format Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet 253K.
