Staff Qualifications

Teachers delivering the Year 10 Program are registered Queensland or Australian Secondary School teachers, and possess appropriate skills and experience in interpreting competency standards and curriculum for training and assessment purposes. If teaching ESL they should also have English as a Second Language experience and/or qualifications. The Chinese client generally provides Chinese teachers to assist in the early stages of the program, to ensure students are mastering the content of the course.

Minimum Academic Requirements for Entry

Recommended current entry requirements will vary depending on which country the program is being delivered in. In general, students should have completed the equivalent of Year 9 with above average results and possess good English language skills. EQI will provide a set of diagnostic tests that clients can use for assessing students English levels.
