With the increasing demand for international skills in our education institutions, a variety of teaching and consulting positions offshore offer excellent opportunities for professional development. These skills directly contribute to the internationalisation of Queensland's education system and are highly prized by Education Queensland including many of our schools and colleges.
Education Queensland International has a varied role in the recruitment process. It both recommends Queensland teachers to international clients and supplies Education Queensland administration staff for varied commercial and aid and development activities.
Any professional educator with excellent academic and professional qualifications wishing to further develop their skills can become a consultant.
Consultants contribute directly to international development through the use of their expertise and skills. Through their participation on an aid and development funded project they gain the opportunity to develop personal skills such as adaptability, cross-cultural negotiation, self-management and leadership.
While most projects require previous experience in a developing country, Education Queensland International also accepts applicants who can demonstrate capacity to work in a developing country and have considerable expertise and experience in their profession.
