What do I do first?

If you want to do anything in the Learning Place you have to be a member and have a Learning Place username and password. This is necessary to protect our staff and students. You can access the Curriculum Exchange from our EQ network (eg within a school) without a Learning Place username.

Decide which area (or combination) would best meet your students or your own learning needs. You are only limited by your imagination! Here are some examples:

I want my students to communicate with an expert.
Set up a project room in the communication area. Select the tool (chats, forums, blogs) to meet your purpose.

I want to put some learning activities (using learning objects) online for group rotations.
Set up a Virtual classroom or register for one of the Ready-to-go courses that feature learning objects, eg. Interactive fractions.

I want to learn more about ICT and how to use it effectively in my classroom.
Join the ICT Curriculum Integration course and achieve my ICT Pedagogical license.

I want to find some quality evaluated resources for my next curriculum unit.
Search the Curriculum Exchange resource centre using the Power Search feature

I want to make learning fun for my students and connect them to the world.
Participate in or coordinate a Collaborative Online Project and make sure the project includes real world feedback.
