Teacher Applicant Centre (TAC TEAM)

The Teacher Applicant Centre (TAC) plays a critical role in the management and maintenance of all teacher applicant information held on the Department of Education, Training and the Arts Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS). The centre is based at Ipswich and all applications for teacher employment are to be forwarded to the centre for data entry processing.

TAC's main responsibilities include:

• Processing of all teacher applications.
• Ensuring that applications are supported by the appropriate document and following up with applicants where necessary.
• Processing of all acknowledgement letters as applications are processed.
• Fielding general calls relating to teacher application data entry process and progress, the requirement for and supply of appropriate supporting documentation for applications for teacher employment.
• All maintenance of applicant data, i.e. contact details, qualifications, location preferences, subject preferences, etc.

Assisting in the management and updating of suitability assessments/suitability ranking, for example:

• Data entry of suitability rankings and updating of suitability ranking webpage advice.
• Forwarding of applicant information to the appropriate regional office so that suitability assessment processes can be arranged.

Applicants interested in working in Identified Indigenous Schools should also complete a Partners for Success Expression of Interest: Partners for Success Expression of Interest (new window) 259k and the Partners for Success Process Flowchart (new window) 45k .

Applicants interested in becoming a teacher in Queensland are required to have Teacher Registration. You can access all relevant information and the relevant application via the Queensland College of Teachers

Teacher Relief and Contract Employment Register (TRACER) Applicants interested in registering for relief teaching with the TRACER unit should complete the application via the TRACER Website
