This legislation has replaced provisions previously contained in the Youth Participation in Education Training Act 2003. The Education (Queensland Studies Authority) Act 2002

outlines the functions of the Queensland Studies Authority. This legislation is currently being amended to provide for the Queensland Certificate of Education and to incorporate provisions relating to student (learning) accounts. The amendments were passed by Parliament in November 2006 as part of the Education Legislation Amendment Act 2006
