The vision for the Department of Education, Training and the Arts Research Strategy 2005-2007 is a collaborative and productive culture of rigorous inquiry informing evidence-based policy and practice.
The research strategy supports teachers and other departmental officers, external researchers and research partners to engage in research and to utilise research findings to build the capacity of Queensland's education, training and arts system.
The strategy outlines the Department's priority research topics and topics of interest, which are those areas of research which are of strategic importance to the Department and where it will focus its available resources. Research priorities are renewed annually in consultation with relevant state government agencies and units within the Department.
